Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – based on theory that psychological symptoms are related to interactions of thoughts, behaviors and emotions. This therapy focuses on identifying and directly changing thoughts and behaviors that maintain symptoms
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) – mindfulness based therapy that emphasizes skill development in affect regulation. Focuses on skill building in four areas: Mindfulness to be able to remain in the here and now, Distress Tolerance to get through difficult situations and manage crisis situations, Interpersonal Effectiveness to establish and maintain healthy relationships and Emotion Regulation which teaches way to identify and regulate emotions by decreasing sensitivity and reactivity
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) - comprehensive processing treatment focusing on past experiences that set groundwork for current distress. Patient momentarily attends to past memories and works to reconstruct negative beliefs regarding past events and reduce physiological responses to those events
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – mindfulness based behavior therapy that helps clients let go of thoughts and feelings while pursuing value based goals
AODA Counseling – meet with one of our Addiction Counselors for ongoing recovery work.
Medication Management – biological management for those who are currently on psychiatric medication and would like a second opinion, or those who are exploring this for the first time
