Cynthia Valentin, PhD, APNP
As clinic director, I hold responsibility for maintaining and environment that promotes collaborative and supportive practices. I provide oversight for clinic functioning and I believe in blending many clinical approaches and talents to provide broad spectrum of care approaches for our clients. Working together, sharing a common value of client centered care delivery, we are able to provide a variety of evidence based treatment approaches. Opportunities for growth are provided in team based consultations. New practices, and educational updates are provided on a regular basis, focused on the belief of the necessity to keep in line with the ever-evolving clinical approaches and changes within the field.
As a practitioner, I serve two roles. As a Psychologist, my strategies include a background in the Cognitive behavioral approaches of: Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye movement and Desensitization, Gottman’s marital therapy, various cognitive-behavioral based and supportive approaches. In my role as an Advanced Nurse Prescriber my focus is on the medical and psychological needs of the client. The medication management for a client includes a clinical understanding of the multi factors that could influence the effectiveness and choices of the medication options. Pharmacogenetic testing is part of the strategies to help guide best medication selection to assist the patient to gain or regain the highest level of symptom managed functioning.
Christine Eckblad, MS, LPC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I understand a successful therapy experience starts with a trusting relationship. I aim to create a space that allows you to express yourself, feel validated, know your strengths and learn to overcome challenges.
My treatment approach is integrative, with a focus with the person-centered model, but includes elements of strength based, CBT, DBT and mindfulness therapies. We will explore different techniques you can use to improve your situation and reach your goals.
Diana Bolmes, LCSW, CSAC
I am a psychotherapist and clinical substance abuse counselor providing services to adults. My treatment approaches include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Community Reinforcement Approach. Specialties include chemical dependency, dual diagnoses, mood disorders and borderline personality disorder.
Jennifer Maxwell, LCSW

I am dedicated to providing you with a warm, comforting and non-judgmental environment to allow for self-exploration, awareness and change. I use a collaborative approach with my clients to develop an individualized plan based on your needs and goals.
With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field working with adolescents, adults, families and group treatment, I utilize an eclectic approach using a variety of evidence based therapy models such as dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness practice.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in Social Work and my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
My specialties and interests include (but are not limited to): Depression, Anxiety, Self-esteem/empowerment, Personality Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Dual diagnosis of mental health and substance abuse concerns, Parenting and Stress/Anger Management.
Dawn Zak, LPC, CSAC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor. I understand the journey of recovery from both personal and professional experience. In my 30 years as a therapist, teacher, trainer and retreat leader I have been honored to see people find recovery when faced with substance abuse and mental health concerns. I have witnessed deep healing happen.
I am dedicated to creating an environment that is comfortable, welcoming and non judgmental. My approach is client centered and collaborative and we will work together to develop a plan that speaks to your individual needs and goals.
I work with adults in individual and group settings using 12-step, SMART recovery, cognitive behavioral therapy, self -compassion tools and mindfulness practice to address depression, anxiety, relationship issues, substance use concerns, stress, workplace challenges and loss.
I believe that every person is capable of change and holds within them the ability to grow and have a life worth living. I am dedicated to helping those seeking mental health services in finding the best fit treatment route. In our first call, I will provide information about our clinic and ask that you share information regarding the reasons for seeking treatment. This way, I can help determine which therapist and type of assessment would best serve you. I am also here to help navigate the insurance and billing aspects of your services as I know that can, at times, be tricky and frustrating!
