ACT is a type of mindfulness-based behavior therapy that helps you become willing and able to let thoughts and feelings come and go while pursuing what matters to you.
ACT differs fundamentally from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) which emphasizes on changing thoughts. Instead ACT helps you to alter your relationship to your private experiences thoughts, feelings, memories, bodily reactions) so you are no longer entangled by them.
